SHAUN SABIN

 

 

 

Shaun is a family man with 3 sons living on a smallholding in Malvern, Worcestershire.

 

His initial sporting background was motocross which he has competed in since the age of 5.

 

After a racing accident, he was unable to race for a while and looking for an alternative sport. His three sons who had all trained with Sensei Dave Webster encouraged him to take up Martial Arts.

 

 

Since starting his journey he has trained with Sensei Dave Webster in Wado-ryu, Ustaad Harjinder Singh in Gatka, Hansi Mac Gilmour in Kinjite Ryu, Sensei Nigel Lee in Okko karate.

 

He has developed a passion for the Martial arts, and has attended seminars with Master Paul Bowman of Zendo Ryu, Master Keith Gray of Krusader, Sensei Nigel Lee of Okko Karate, Sensei Iain Abernethy of Bunki Jitsu, Sensei Peter Jones of Spirit combat International,Sensei Professor Terry Parker BJJAGB, BCA residential course with Sensei Peter Consterdine, Sensei Geoff Thompson and Sensei Russell Stuteley.

 

After trying the various martial arts, Shaun has found the art that suits him and is now training with Alun Williams of Total Body of Defence in Wales, which he finds well worth the 3 hour round trip every week. Every other Wednesday he has private tuition with Alun and every other friday with Carl Grant of Total Grant ,as well as attending every seminar offered by Maul Mornie of Silat Suffian Bella Diri. Every other Thursday (or as wife allows!), he has begun training with Sufi Rob Ho of Hoyiufay Blackbelt Academy.
